Local neighbourhood groups to get planning powers

Local people are to be given more say over developments in their areas, ministers have pledged. The Bill, due to be published in the next few days, will also give local people the power to approve or reject proposals  for new housing developments, schools and other public buildings in their areas.  BBC news report here:- BBC news
