Helping villages maintain attractive and tidy appearance
Hampshire County Council have begun year-long trials of giving Parish Councils the responsibility of low level maintenance work such as minor drainage work, grass verge cutting and clearing litter. The trials, to be held in parishes in the Meon and Test Valley's, will evaluate whether small highways jobs can be carried out more cost effectively and efficiently if locally managed.
